FARMERS' UNION REVIVAL
EVANGELISTS SATISFIED. Bv Telegraph.—Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. "The delegation from the Farmers' lion, led by MrW. J. Poison, the Denton president of the organisation, itch started out on a tour of the uth Island some three weeks ago, has turned well satisfied with the result its labours on behalf of co-operative arketing, producer-owned and State - lbsidised shipping and farmers' agriiltural banking. Mr Poison and his to colleagues, Captain E. Golbeck, the aminion president, and Mr E. C. Jack, idressed 40 meetings of farmers durg their absence at centres between ivclock and Bluff and received favourlie receptions everywhere. The only squieting feature of their tour, inled, was the absence of opposition to ie gospel they were preaching. Rut lis is the accepted way of the afrrijltural community, and Mr Poison has i doubt of Its readiness to join in an •ganisod effort towards self-help. The legates hope to begin a systematic our of the North Island within the ext few months, and have no doubt aeir reception here will be as onouragin.e: as it was in the South, feanwhile they arc devoting a little jdiolous attention to the politicians in Wellington.
