At exhibition League football, England defeated Australasia by 5 to 4. The earlier stages of play were unexciting, and marked by many mistakes. England were generally better in the mid-llcid and at passing. The last spell was bright and exciting, hut the visitors’ host efforts failed to break the home defence. At half-time the score was England 0, Australasia 2. The final was England 5 (try and goal), Australasia -1 (two goals).
