WAINGARO ROAD ACCIDENT

INQUEST AT NGARUAWAHIA. The District Coroner (Mr H. A. Young, S.M.) held an inquest in Ngaruawahia yesterday into (he death of Alherl I pbui, farmer of Waimai, who was killer] in a motor car mishap on the Waingaro road on Saturday evening.

The hank gave way at the point, and the car capsized, and fell about JO feet- Deceased was a competent, ear driver', having driven on this road for four or five years.

Henry Hegh, who was in the car, said that a Hep it had gone down the hank and overt:" ned deceased’s body was found lying in the water a little below the overturned car. There was a large, open wound on deceased’s forehead.

Frank Rogue, shearer, said that Hie ear rolled over and over sideways, and lie fell out about three-parts of the way down the bank. The accident occurred between (i. 30 and 7 p.rn. Dr Martin deposed that deceased had a wound over Hie frontal bone on the left, side of Hie tiead an i penetrating to Hie brain. The Coroner found that deceased died at Clen Massey on October 3, 1021, from injuries accidentally received through a motor car driven by him overturning.
