iw DOOLEY ELECTED PRESIDENT. | NEW MINISTERS APPOINTED. I PROTRACTED LABOUR CAUCUS. l'„ , (United Press Association.) S • SYDNEY, October 8. ; A protracted meeting.of the Labour caucus resulted in the election ot Mr James Dooley, Ihe present Colonial Secretary, to succeed the late Mr Storey in the Premiership. Mr Dooley received. 21, and Mr MrOlrr, the only other candidate, .1(1 voles. After Mr Dooley had visited the Governor and hern commissioned, the caucus commenced consideration as to .whether the whole of Mr Dooleys Cabinet colleagues should be selected pr-only the extra Minister elected. I Further protracted sittings of the caucus decided to retain the present Ministers as Mr Dooley’s colleagues and elect a new Minister to till the vacancy 'caused by Mr Storey’s death. Exhaustive ballots resulted in iho choice of Mr Lazzarini. For Deputy-Premier Mr 'jkcGirr was selected and Mr Burke was chosen as the Government whip.
