CLOSE OF THE SEASON. VISIT OF AUCKLAND TRAMS. The League football season for Hamilton was brought to a conclusion srt Steele Park, when learns fmm Auckland paid a visit. It rained throughout, the grealep period of the play, but there was a good attendance of spectators. The sixth grade teams of Auckland and Maritime played an exhibition game, which was won by the former !by 5 points to nil. Richmond were the ' season’s winners, and Maritime 1 runners-up in the grade at Auckland. Auckland Jncs. 27 v. Hamilton Q 6. j The Auckland junior representatives defeated a Hamilton B team by 27 points to 6. The teams were:— Hamilton: Cornaga, Prisk, Monagetti, Glover, Condon, Smith (captain), Coornbes, Kelly, Prickett, Duncan, Davis, ShirtclifTc, Williams. Auckland: Campbell. Patterson, Church, Sorenson, Condon (captain), Strange. Edwards, Biggs, Brockliss, McLaughlin, Vcart, Watson, Barraclough. PONSONB* THACKER SHIELD MATCH. AUCKLAND, Saturday. The Thacker Shield match was played in heavy rain at Cariaw Park today. The linal scores were: —Ponsonby 10, Unfitly 8.
