Replying to Lbe Daily Chronicle, the Daily Express justifies 'the articles regarding the Pacific, on the ground that the public is entitled to know what every statesman, banker and diplomatist of the world knows. The era of secret diplomacy lias ended, and the best hope of promoting peace at Washington is to warn the democracy, who must pay for the errors of ttic diplomats, that ttic edge of the precipice is near.
