Mr C. R. Cooke, of Thames, is in Hamilton.
Mr W. F. Jarvic has been appointed registrar for births, marriages and deaths at Te Awamulu.
His Lordship, Hie Right Rev. Dr. Liston, Co-adjutnr Catholic. Bishop of Auckland, will leave Cambridge this evening for Auckland. His Lordship celebrated the Sacrament of Gouimnation yesterday afternoon, at St. Peter's. About forty children wore present.
Mr A. Spilman, whovvas a resident of Hamilton about 20 years ago, and who is now manager of the Palmerston ■North Abattoirs, is on a visit to Hamilton. He expresses surprise at the progress the town has made since, lie left it to go to Hie Sou Hi African war.
