HIQH SCHOOL STEEPLECHASE.

The annual steeplechase in connection with the High School Sports wa? run on Friday afternoon. Over ISO boys of all sizes faced Urn starter. The race was nm over the usual course,, up Coliingwood street and round the f/ake basin to Ohatipo road, and hack along Lake road past the water tower to the front gate of the school. The journey of slightly over two miles was covered in good time by a I a rife number of com-pcliters, the Held being much closer up than is usually the case. The first man home, R. Hall, finished in fine style in 7sec. short of the record time established by W. Prosser last year. Hall last year was the winner of the Sealed Handicap run in connection with the race.
