LATE PREMIER STOREY

THE STATE FUNERAL. IMPRESSIVE AND REPRESENTATIVE. ROUTE DENSELY THRONGED. (United Press Association.) Received October 7, 10 p.m. SYDNEY, October 7. The route of the late Mr Storey’s funeral from the Cathedral to the railway station for several hours before Hie eorlage moved, was lined with dense crowds. After an. impressive service at the Cathedral, conducted by the Dean and Primate of Sydney, the procession which was headed by the fire brigade, band, and 3000 marching unionists, left for Field Mars Cemetery. At the railway station special trains were waiting for those marching.

The Cathedral, where the body lay In state, was visited by many thousands.

It was one of the largest and most representative funerals held in the Stale, four motor cars being necessary to convey the floral tributes. The members of Lire Federal Labour party were absent, the secretary telegraphing that they were unable to attend owing to the critical position in the House of Representatives.
