The quality of the ox beef was again first-class. There was a steady demand throughout, hut owing to the increased number of prime, cattle, values were slightly easier. Extra choice ox sold to £i Tis per 100th; choice and prime ox. £1 8s to £1 ids; ordinary and plain, £1 to £1 I 7s; rough beef, 8s to ids: prime young cow and heifer beef, £1 5s to £1 10s; ordinary cow, 10s to £1 as.
