WEIGHT OF LOAF
AN APPEAL ALLOWED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. Judge Herdman has allowed the appeal by the Inspector against Hie derision of Mr Cullen, S.M., in dismissing the ease against, Walter Buchanan, baker, charged with selling shortweight bread. Defendant had slated when selling the bread that it was not under llh I-in/., and might be 21b, which the magistrate accepted as compliance with the Act, hut Mr Justice Herdman held that the purchaser was entitled |o know the true weight of the loaf supplied, and should not he left in any doubt. The ease was referred hack to the magistrate.
