PRESBYTERY OF WAIKATO

BUSINESS MEETING. The Presbytery met at St- Andrew's Church, Hamilton, on October i, when Rev. K. Bishop, moderator, presided, and there were 1(5 other members of the Presbytery present. Rev. L. Scott, M.A., formerly of Rotorua, was welcomed by the moderator. A considerable part of the sermon was given to the consideration of reports from the Home Mission stations, and some of these indicated that considerable progress had been made during the past 12 months. Rev. ,1. G. Mill, as moderator of Huul.lv, presented requests from that congregation that Mr G. Thompson mi (r ht be reappointed for another year as home missionary in charge.—ln view of the excellent reports received Hie Presbytery heartily commended this request to the favourable consideration of the Assembly. The Presbytery also favoured the re-appointment of Mr Falconer W. Turner and Mr Byrt to Pio Pio for a further term in compliance with a request from their congregations. The following ministers were appointed ns voting members of the General Assembly, winch will meet in Dunedin on November 15: Revs. R-

Mackie, T. 11. Iloseveare, E. Bishop, U. A. Thompson and 11. C. Stuart. Other members of the Presbytery were also nominated, but they could not see their way lo allend. It is anticipated that elders will also attend as representing the sessions of Hamilton, Cambridge, Palerangi, Rolorua, Taumarunui, -and To Puke. On account of the summer school of theology (o lie held at Auckland early in November, it was decided lo hold the next meeting of the Presbytery a week later than usual-
