TE PAHU. Eucheo Party. A euchre parly and social eventuated in the Tc Pahu Hall on the 30lh ultimo. All the card tables were taken up and much interest was taken in the game. The Puketaha school children ate the proud holders of the "Burnardo Shield,” given for the largest amount collected per box by the box-holders of the district. With the hope of retaining the shield another year, it was arranged to hold a “Children’s Frolic” afternoon and a “Paddy’s Market” on October 8, and later a concert to augment the sum raised by the box-hold-ers. There arc various attractions to be offered during Ihe afternoon In the way of side-shows, etc., but the children's singing and reciting competitions are to be (ho chief source of entertainment.
