TAUPiRi. Tennis Social. The dances promoted by the Taupiri Tennis Club continue to lie well patronised, and the funds for the new courts are being steadily augmented. A rare treat is promised in the near future, when a grand concert will be given, the talent being principally from Hamilton. Finish of Football Season. The football season was fittingly wound-up last Saturday, when the Taupiri Colts met and defeated Hunlly Colts on the local ground. Taupiri juniors, who won the premiership during the season, also met and defeated a combined lluntly junior team by 10 points to u. A Bazaar. The Taupiri ladies' bill committee tias decided to have a bazaar in aid of the ball funds, and the ladies arc at, present busy working to that end. Passing of a Constable. Great regret was expressed in our district at the news of the death of Constable Cavarmgh. who during bis term in charge of the district had made many friends and was generally admired for his sterling qualities.
