Mulligan colliery disaster, said he heard a loud report and . saw smoke issuing from the main tunnel entrance on the morning of the disaster. This was followed by another explosion. damp prevented immediate entrance into the tunnel, but when it retreated he went into the pit and found Evans' body a hundred yards along the tunnel smothered in dust. CTGrady was found a little farther on. Evans was insensible, but he recovered consciousness and tried to explain where the entombed men were. The inquiry was adjourned. tjuult
