DATE OF EXECUTION FIXED FOR MONDAY NEXT. PETITION FOR REPRIEVE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association). AUCKLAND, Wednesday. Monday next has been fixed as the date for the execution of Ilakaraia Te Kahu, the Ongarotu murderer. WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Several petitions praying for a reprieve* for Hakaraia Te Kahu, now lying under sentence of death, were presented to the House of Representatives this afternoon. Mr C. E. Btathatn (Dunedin Central), in presenting them, asked for leave to move that they be referred to the Government direct for consideration. This was agreed to.
