LONDON WOOL SALES. TUB CLOSING QUOTATIONS. The New Zealand Wool Committee has received the following cablegram from the British Australasian Wool Realisation Association, London: — “Sales concluded on Thursday with good tone and competition. The total Bawra offerings were 00,5'J0 hales, of which 97 per cent sold. In comparison with the close of the July series the following increases were recorded: Super greasy merino, 15 per cent to 90 per cent; average greasy merino, 15 per cent; gootl scoured merino, 10 per cent; average and inferior merino, 15 per cent. Little change in merino lamb. Fine medium crossbred was 15 per cent lower, medium crossbred 10 per cent, line slips 10 per cent. Medium and low slipe was par to 5 per cent dearer. It is estimated that the Home trade look 55 per cent, Germany 30 per cent, and France and Belgium 15 per cent of the total offerings. The closing quotations for clean scoured wool were; Super. The merino market was buoyant. We consider the. maintenance of prices for medium and low crossbred doubtful unless sellers show a united front.' 1
