IRELAND and peace - APPEAL TO THE COUNTRY. A WELL-GROUNDED BELIEF. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received September 21, 9.10 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 20. The Central News Agency states that there is a well-grounded belief that the Irish question will form the basis of an appeal to the country by Mr Lloyd George. De Valera’s attitude is regarded as uncompromisingly hostile, and if a conference were held on his terms Mr Lloyd George’s Cabinet would be considered guilty of a grave act of disloyalty.
