GLOAMING RESUMES WORK, (United Press Association.) Received Scplemb • 20, 5.5 p.m. SYDNEY, September 20. Gloaming’s cold is better and lie has resumed slow work. The Sun says that although not expected to race in Australia this spring, Gloaming's preparation will be renewed in view of the future events in New Zealand where ho will have opportunities to pick up a sufficient stake to beat Carbine’s record. DONOVAN TEAM SAILS.
THU HANDAOC CP ISO DIO. Received September 20, 11.35 p.m. SYDNEY, September 20. The Donovan team and Insurrection and Lord Martian are aboard the Ulimn roe, which sailed to-day. Insurrection was scratched for all the Jockey Club's engagements to-day. The chairmen of Hie Jockey Club stewards, speaking regarding Donovan's bandage trouble, said his opinion was that ban - dages were not satisfactory. Two other stewards said (hat Donovan had not made any protest and they were of opinion Dial if he had, a compromise could have been effected.
