Thermometer.
The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner:—-.
Wednesday . . 58 30 Thursday .... 5i 30 Barometer. Thursday 29.60 Friday 29.55 Yesterday was fair, with light southerly to south-westerly winds, and two degrees or frost. The air pressure is phenomenally low, and apparently has not yet reached its lowest, point., as the barometer lias still a falling tendency. indications arc for fair weather today, probably overcast to-morrow, with unsettled conditions following. Winds from south-west, veering later to a northerly direction, and becoming high, with warmer weather conditions.
The Weather Bureau wires:—The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, but northerly prevailing and backing by north to west at times. Kxpect dull weather with much mist and fogs in parts, and rain probable. Barometer unsteady.
