Ted Moore, the welter-weight, has ' refused to go to Australia without a guarantee of £2500, though he has signed a contract. Rubert Barry, who is taking out some Stadium boxers, sternly enilicises Moore's default in a letter in Sporting Life. Sporting Life also states that people ore discussing adversely Beckett's failure to get to grips with Cook as something like a breach of faith. Beckett challenged Cook for £IOOO a side. Cook accepted, but Beckett lias since been silent, though Cook agreed to give Beckett an additional £250 from his share of the purse. Sporting Life says the people can scarcely 1 c blamed for thinking that Beckett lias no stomach for a light with Cook. Cook declares that he will now probably approach Carpentier for a match after the Frenchman returns from the L'r.ited States early in the New Year. NEW YORK, July 25 Herman has again won the bantamweight championship on points from Lynch in a last 15 rounds bout.
