Mr R. Coulter (Mayor of Te Aroha) was in Hamilton to-day. Mr de la Mare has been returned to represent Victoria University District Court of Convocation on the New Zealand University Senate. The death is announced from Melbourne of Mr James Page, Labour. Whip in the Federal House of Representatives. He wag found dead in bed,Sir Robert Stout, Chief Justice of New Zealand, according to a London cable message, is in good health. He is living quietly in London. Mr A, D. Allen, A.1.A.E., Australasian representative of the Automobile Association and Motor Union, is in Hamilton. Mr H. Carr (Commissioner of the Native Land Court) has arrived at RotorUa to take up duty in the Court there, and will remain during the absence of Mr H. F. Ayson at Rarotonga. Rev. Hugh Warren Austin, M.A., Queen’s College, Cambridge, has been appointed chaplain of the Collegiate School, Wanganui. Mr J. Arneil, well known in Auckland commercial and athletic circles, was a visitor to the Winter Show. Mr Arneil in the ’eighties was a rep. footballer, and was sole selector for the Auckland Rugby Unon. The Minister of Public Works (Hon. J, G. Coates) has arranged to visit tire Wairarapa district on Tuesday and Wednesday next. He will receive a deputation regarding hydro-electric power matters at Carterton on Tuesday night. Amongst the Auckland visitors to the Show are Major G. R. Hutchinson, of the Auckland City Council, and Messrs Norman Wade (ttye wellknown architect), G. W. Ingram (president of the New Zealand Fox Terrier Club), E. T. Howell, T. Sevan, G.
