WOOL SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Company Ltd report having received the following cablegram from their London House under date of the 22nd Inst.:—"Wool sales opened. The number of buyers is large, competition not animated ‘fair selection. As compared with ’ last sales’ closing rates, warp merino wools, good, arc 5 per cent to 10 per cent lower; merino wools, good. 15 per cent lower; merino wools of other descriptions, JO per cent to 15 per cent lower; crossbred wools, good condition, free or nearly free, 10 per cent to 15 per cent lower, crossbred wools, coarse, 10 percent lower. Arne--rh.nn buyers are not buying. Continental buyers are buying on a small scale.
