MOTUMAOHO. Welcome Rain. It is a good many weeks since we were able to chronicle a downpour of rain such as we had on Monday night, and the benefit of it will soon be felt. The mi j returns have been steadily growing less, and rain was urgently needed while there was yet some growth, and those who have not maize or some olher green crop were especially thankful for rain. Road Improvement. 'Hie contractor for carting and laying the metal on Hie main road is getting in steadily with the work, and when lids is completed we hope to have one of the best roads in the district, instead of one of the worst.
