A-communique states that the Turk* vere asked for their views on the proposal to create a Commission to deeida the fate of Smyrna and Thrace, whos-2 decision should be accepted by Greece and Turkey. - Tewflk Pasha deputed Bekir Sam'i Bejj to speak on behalf of the delegations. Saini Bey thanked the Supreme Counci] kr admitting the claims of the Turkish delegation. Mr Lloyd George intervened, remarking: "Not claims admitted." Sami Bey replied that the Turks arc confident of the justice of their claims, 'J hey regarded liie creation of a Commission tantamount to their being admitted. The Turks were pressed to say definitely whether, on accepting the Commission, they would not raise other points than the questions of Armenia and Kurdistan. Bekir Sami Bey obtained permission to consult his colleagues before replying. M. Cabgcropoulos could not give i definite answer until he received Mi Government's reply.
