THE THAMES MEETING. The Thames .Toekey Club will open Its two days' meeting at the picturesque course at Parawai on Saturday afternoon, and will continue Its racing on Monday. Judging from the Milround nature of the acceptance list a very successful racing period is in store for the Goldflelds Club. There nre nine acceptors for the Goldflelds Cup, over a mile and a quarter, and recent form points to a close race resulting. Forest Gold • should he a thorny proposition for the others, but Prince Charleroi, Esthonia and Tama-a-roa are among the much admired. The two hitter may he reserved for the chief sprint, in which case they need not be looked past. The other races on the first day's programme have tilled well, and n very successful meeting appears ahead. For the convenience of rare-goers from these parts, a special train will leave Frankton at 7.30 a.m. to-morrow and Monday, and return at the close of each day's racing.
