Referring to Hobbs' opinion that England would win the majority of the next tests, Mr Warner agreed thai England would be harder to heat on her own wicket. "The batting will be all right." he added, "but we must find a bowler for hard wickets. On sticky wickets 1 believe we shall beat Australia, but 1 am not certain. We shall endeavour to avoid having a baltii-ri tail. r am not despondent regarding our chances. I always am an optimist, Which is a good thing in cricket. Congratulate Australia for me on their well-earned victory. They will receive a great, welcome." Mr Warner expressed anxiety regarding Hearnc's condition. VISIT OF AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN. The Derbyshire County Cricket Committee's annual report regrets that though il offered the necessary guarantee ~f c-200. the County will nut be given a match with Hie Australians. It also poinls out that Derbyshire was the only county to defeat the Australians in 1919.
