The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken at 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremnor:— Thermometer. Tuesday 77 55 Wednesday ... *l9 41 Barometer. Wednesday 29.55 Thursday, 29.95 Yesterday was partly fair, with j | occasional rain showers, winds veering ( from north to west, and lower tempera- j lure. The air pressure has increased j rapidly since yesterday, the barometer | showing a rise of 0.40. The weather j, will probably continue showery to-day, j clearing to-morrow, with westerly winds, backing to south. The Weather Bureau wires: Indications arc for southerly winds. Weather probably cool and changeable. The barometer has a rising tendency.
