GUILTY OF EMBEZZLING. (Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.; WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Joseph Henry Pike, who was arrested just before the departure of the Sjdney boat, pleaded guilty to embezzling £423 from his employers, Messrs Ferguson and Osborne. It was stated by the police that gambling was the cause of the man's downfall. The prisoner was committed for sentence.
