AN ARCHDEACON'S FALL
GUILTY OF ADULTERY. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received February 6, 11.5 p.m . LONDON, February 6. The Consistory Court at Lincoln found Archdeacon Wakeford, Precentor of Lincoln Cathedral, guilty on two charges of adultery. The evidence showed that the Archdeacon twice stayed with an unknown woman at an hotel at Peterborough. His brother-in-law, Rev. Herbert Worthington, laid the charges, and was one of the witnesses for (he prosecution.
