The seoretary of the building trade operatives says that the Government's scheme for the dilution of labour by Ihe admission of non-unionists was rejected by 310,000 against 2500. IK' states that 64,000 builders' workmen are unemployed, and the proposed absorption of ex-service men is impossible. The secretary added that, the supply of labour was ample to meet, all requirements with proper organisation, end suggests that these unemployed be maintained according to the Labour Party's programme, from the fortunes amassed by the war profiteers. The Ministry of Labour states that at January' 31st there were 68,000 men, 274,000 women, 49,000 boys, and 55,300 girls unemployed, apart from short-time workers.
