ROWING

The Hamilton Rowing Club has arranged to hold an "at homo" on Saturday next, commencing at .'( p.m., when dial fours will he rowed for club caps. Senior, heavy maiden and maiden crows are now in training for the NYlnir.parei Regatta. The following fou 1 ' have been selected for the heavy maided crew: Stout, Curtis, Sandos, Gibson. REGATTA CARNIVAL. ANNIVERSARY HAY. PROGRAMME. The Hamilton Regatta and Carnival Committee has approved of the following programme for the annual regatta or January "20 (Anniversary Day) :- Maiden fours (open) 1 mile, maide'i fturs (lightweight) 1 mile, maiden pairs 1 mile, maiden doubles 1 mile, junior fours 1$ miles, junior paris t| miles, junior doubles H miles, youths' fours 1 mile, senior fours 2 miles, si nior pairs 1£ miles, senior doubles IJ n.ilcs, handicap single sculls i mile. Inter-proviiieial champion fours will be included, subject to allottmcnt by the Auckland Rowing Association, it was decided to row the senior fours in Best and Best boats. Officials were appointed as follows: Treasurer, Mr \V. J. Bowling; stewards, Messrs .1. Stuart and S. Beavan; judges, Messrs W. 11. Stevens and P. A. Swarbrick; starter, Mr Wilson; clerk o: scales, Mr F. A. Swarbrick; handicapper, Mr W, H. C'inway. It was decided to approach the Swimming Centre with reference to holding swimming races in the river on Regatta Day.

Messrs Bowline- and Marshall were appointed a sub-committee for canvassing for donations.
