CRICKET IN ENGLAND
HEAVY SEASON FOR 1921. ARRANGEMENTS FOR AUSTRALIANS Received December 8, 9.20 p.m| LONDON, December 7. Owing- to the exceptionally heavy programme in the 1921 cricket season it was a task of great difficulty to arranage the Australian fixtures in a manner* involving a minimum of travelling fur the visitors, but it is considered that the task lias been successfully accomplished, and in only three instances will backward and forward journeys be necessary. Special consideration has been given to the tests. There will be 37 fixtures, commencing on April 30 and finishing early in September. The County matches wil begin on 30Hi Apri,, much earlier than usual. The tests will start on Saturdays. This will probably result in last season's experience in county matches, in which the arrangement found popular favour. There are some unavoidable clashes between the tests and prominent local fixtures. The fourth lesi clashes with Surrey v. Kent, and Notts Yorkshire, and the third dashes with the University mulch.
