An application of the Federated Cooks and Stewards for a bonus of £2 a month was heard at the Arbitration Court to-day. Mr Smith, on behalf of the Union Company, said the case was a test case, as whatever bonus was granted would have to be paid to other seagoing unions, involving £86,472 per annum as far as the Union Company was concerned.
