The following Barometer aad thermometer readings, taken at 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner: — Thermometer. Max. Min. Saturday 84 -42 Monday 8G 65 Barometer. Monday 29.80 Tuesday 29.80 The weather yesterday was close and muggy, with high temperature, the thermometer registering 86. This is equal to our hottest summer weather. Winds were northerly. Ligtit ram fell during the afternoon and night. The barometer has maintained its reading of 29.80. The weather conditions are likely to be unsettled, with occasional showers and high winds from north-north-west. The Weather .Bureau wires: The indications are for winds northerly moderate to strong and backing by north \o west. Expect dull weather with much mist and fogs in parts. Rain probable. The barometer has a falling tendency. __^_
