Gentlemen, We believe that you are desirous of discovering some means whereby you can combat and eventually overcome the present state of low production, and thus help to bring down the high cost of living to its normal level. We realise that it is your aim to help the country by producing the f greatest amount of butter-fat possible, and as the industry m which you are ' engaged is of primary importance to the State, then, without doubt, it Is the duty of all to assist you to attain your desired end. The average yield per cow for the Dominion is IGOlbs of Butterfat, and if the Dairy Farmer can raise that average to 1801bs or 2001bs per cow, thee he is doing a great service to the community, for in other words, he is increasing production, and it must of necessity follow that the higher the average, the lower the cost of production. The object of this letter is to offer every Dairy Farmer in the District an opportunity to procure a simple and ingenious device whereby he can test his cows indiviuually, and by this means raise the value of his herd, anu Increase the production of butter-fat.
