AMATEUR ATHLETICS
A meeting of the committee of the H.A.A.C. was held on Friday. The following programme was drawn up for the next evening meeting, to be held on Steele Park on Wednesday, December 15:—Primary Schools' relay (teams of four), 440yds handicap, 100yds handicap, throwing the cricket ball.
It was decided to make the cricket ball post entr,-, and to close the entries for the 10"> jards and 540 yards on Thursday, De-<n.l cr U. It was reported that Mr L. Jones had offered to donate a pah- of running shoes for the 440yds. The offer was accepted with thanks.
