HAMILTON SALE.

The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report:—Yesterday we had a full yarding of cattle, also a good yarding of pigs, but practically no sheep. Values ruling were for most classes on a par with last week. Beef came forward in better supply, and competition was wellmaintained throughout. Bullocks mada to £24, medium weights £l4 to £l6; best cows £lB 10s, lighter weights £9 19s to £l2 Bs. Empty cows were easier than the previous week, the best reaching £8 4s, smaller and backward conditioned sorts £5 15s to £7. Two and three-year steers were not represented. Yearlings were again the most prominent feature, and many good lines were penned. Heifers of this age were not in the same demand as last week, but steers somewhat improved. Values realised: Heifers, best £6 10s, smaller £4 5s to £5 2s 6d; steers, £4 >to £4 7s 6d; dairy cattle were not in keen demand, cows making up to £11; heifers to £l4 15s, inferior quality £7 to £lO. Fat pigs were in good supply, but sold at slightly reduced values. Baconers up to £6 10s; porkers, £3 15s to £4 10s; weaners, 26s to £2 10s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited report:—■ Fat cows, £l3 3s; fat steers, £l7: store cows, £5 10s to £6 15s; 2-year-' old empty Shorthorn heifers, £6 16s to £7 10s: yearling heifers, £3 10s to £5 7s 6d; choice 15-months' old steers, £5 15s to £6 2s 6d; yearling steers, £4 10s to £5; springing heifers, £lO 10s to £l2; fat and forward ewes in wool, 275; bacon pigs, £5 18s to £6 16s; store porkers, £3 15s to £4 4s; slips, £3 to £3 6s; weaners, £1 7s to £1 16s.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly stoclc sale at Hamilton yesterday. There was a very small yarding of sheep, which sold at late rates. Cattle were yarded in large numbers. Beef sold at lata rates. Store cows sold under fair competition at slightly better figures, "he demand for young cattle was weak and the majority were passed in at auction.

TALLOW AND WOOL SALES.

WOOL RESERVES VARY,

At the tallow sales 2830 casks were offered and 594 sold at about a 4* decline. Fine mutton 7'os a cwt, medium 58s; fine beef 80s, medium 58s.

At the wool sales the Government reserves are varying from day to day. The withdrawals to-day were smaller than yesterday, but the market is unchanged for all qualities.
