EXPORT BUTTER PRICES
NOT YET FIXED. NEGOTIATIONS, I'm END. AUCKLAND COMPANIES' DECISION. The dairy companies of the Auckland province have definitely decided not to accept Ihe offer of the Imperial Government for the purchase of New Zealand dairy produce, unless maikitins facilities equal to those printer! the producers of Great Britain and Ireland are -ran'ed |,, producers after March 31st next.' This derision was come i,, at a representative meeting of directors of the dairy companies in the province held in Auckland a couple of days ago, and was carried by a substantial majority. Subsequently a meetinsr of the South Auckland Dairy Association was held, when a resolution was carried providing definitely for the termination of further negotiations with the Food Controller after 22nd insf.. As the Auckland province produces two-thirds or the [otal butter of New Zealand, the decision is an important one. as it means that the piice offered by the Imperial Government, upon which the proposed new price In New Zealand is also based, may not hi 1 accepted.
