The following barometer and thecmoraeterßeadings, taken at 9 a.m. daily, affi weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Breniner:— Thermometer. Max. Min. Wednesday .. 90 54 Thursday .... 68 46 aerometer. Thursday 30.0 Friday 29.90 Yesterday was fair, with light northerly winds. The air pressure continues to decrease. The indications are for partly fair and partly .overcast weather during the next few hours, probably followed by unsettled weather, with heavy rain. Winds from a northerly direction. The~Weather Bureap wires:—The indications are for northerly winds strong to gale and backing by north to west. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled with rain following. The barometer has a falling tendency.
