WIRELESS DEVELOPMENT
FOR NEWSPAPER PURPOSES. (Times.) LONDON, May 8. The Empire Press Union discussed the possibilities of extending the use of wireless for newspapers' purposes. Signor Marconi's report detailed a scheme for linking up the Dominions with Britain, wirclessly and telephoniically, subject to some Government control. It is intended to form; a new,.' company, entirely Imperial, in constitution and to invite the Governments to take shares and join the directorate. The Australian Wireless Company will join as partners. Marconi proposes to specialise in press matter, with a tariff one-third below ordinary rates. The Press Union asked the company to submit details for the forthcoming conference in Canada.
