- IMPROVEMENT IN WINGS. A BIG STEP FORWARD. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON, May 9. The Handley-Pagc 'Co.'s improved design for aeroplane wings has passed the official tests. They will enable loads to be increased by from 20 to 30 per cent., and also permit, an aeroplane to ascend and alight within smaller grounds. The Improvement can be flt'ted to any existing wing, and is regarded as a great forward in aviation, giving the designers a bigger margin, by which the strength, safely and comfort of aeroplanes can be increased. •
