EVERYBODY'S. | The world's greatest dramatic actor, i William Farnum, was responsible for a , full house last night, when he made his . first appearance in "For Freedom," a ; Fox picture de luxe of six magnificent ; parts. It is not possible to speak too highly of this production, for it em- , bodies the very highest, both in screen- , art and dramatic portrayal of character. | There-is also another clever Sunshine comedy, into which are introduced some of those brilliant motor stunts for these productions aro famous. In addition is a fine Mutt and Jeff cartoon, and aft excellent educational film, "Prom Wool to Woollen." *.'?he programme is a special, taking two and ahalf hours to screen, but prices ere as "sual Is Id and 6d. KING'S THEATRE. \Vil!ia r .i Desmond, that experienced a'CWr t-jf ability and remarkable personal ■ftHp-netism, pleased everyone last evening by the excellence of his work in the good 'photo-feature, "Society for Sale," a novel and particularly interesting story of a compact entered into between a shop girl who had inherited much money and a pauperised aristocrat, whereby the aristocrat lent the girl the beneM of his social advantages, for the -price of a much needed meal. The brilliant and breezy play was thoroughly enjoyed and warmly applauded. 'Two really laughable comedies set the house aroar, and an interesting Gazette completed a capital programme. Seats may be reserved at Paul's. THEATRE ROYAL. A splendid attendance expressed warm approval of the massive and meritorious triple bill last evening. The three dramas shown were solid examples of modern kinema production. Baby Gorman, billed as "the child Bernhardt of the screen," most effectively sustained Die great reputation that preceded her by truly remarkable emotional acting in "The Soul of a Child." This film has* much to recommend it, and its juvenile star has ability beyond that possessed by many an adult actress. That strong actor, Duslin Farnum, showed to especial advantage i n that I good picture. "The Iron Strain." Helen ! Holmes raised excitement in "The Overland Disaster," a thrilling com- ; plete story of "The Railroad Raiders" ! series.
