DISTURBED IRELAND
RAID BY MASKED MEN. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received January 13, 9.20 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 10. Ei£ht masked men at Tralle endeavoured to force an entrance on Friday night at the house of Mr Slattery, a solicitor, in which Sir Edward Sullivan was dining. Many shots were fired, but the inmates were not injured. Sir Edward Sullivan states that the outrage is not connected with the Sinn Fein Party, but is due to resentment at the result of his efforts against criminals.
