His Honor Mr Justice Cooper is spending a fortnight’s vacation witn his son, Mr A. Cooper, at Waitetuna.
Mr Gilbert Simpson, formerly manager of the Bruce Woollen Mills, left for England by the Arawa. He intends purchasing the necessary machinery for the new Masterton mills, of which he was recently appointed manager.
His Grace Archbishop Redwood has left Wellington for San Francisco, en route to Great Britain and the Continent. The Rev. Father Maillard, parish priest at Levin, is accompanying Hie .Archbishop.
Prior lo his departure from the Waikato Hospital, the’ staff presented Dr. II Douglas with a handsome Gutter roller-lop desk. The presentation was of an informal nature, when the staff pave a general, expression of their good will towards the doctor and Mrs Douglas. The doctor thanked the ■donors in suitable terms.
