IN MEMORIAM.
WARD-ALLEN.—In loving memory 0 f my dear husband, William WardAlien, who passed away at Cook Street, Hamilton East, on January 12th, 1919. 'Tis one sad year ago to-day, With aching Heart I stood Reside my dearest Ipisband’s bed To keep him if I could; Rut God alone, who thought it best, Did ease his sufferings and gave him rest. Home is not home, My husband is not there; His loving voice I will hear no more, And empty is his chair. My husband is gone, but not forgotten, Nor is the good advice he gave; Sweetest thoughts shall ever linger Around my dqrling husband’s grave. The face —I loved it—now lies low, The fond, true heart is still, The hand 1 often clasped in mine Lies now in death’s cold chill. Inserted by his loving wife. 2a
