FACILITIES FOR AUSTRALIA.

A recent statement that the port of London authority had placed a special wharf and other facilities at the disposal of the Australian fruit trade Is described as incorrect. The authority is prepared to grant certain facilities, provided no monopoly is held by one firm. BIG AMERICAN SUPPLIES. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received January 10, 1-50 a.m. LONDON, January 7. There are expected to be large arrivals of American and Canadian apples in England well into May. The International Apple Shippers Association estimates that there was equivalent to 80,000,000 cases in storage in the United States and Canada in the middle of December.
