THE WEATHER.
The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken at 9 a.m. daily, and weather indications, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner: Thermometer. Max. Min. - Thursday 65 60 Friday 68 54 Barometer. Friday 30.10 Saturday 30.10 Yesterday was fair and overcast, with light north-westerly winds. The barometer is steady at 30.10. The unsettled conditions threatened yesterday are apparently passing to the north-east, as the hygrometer shows less moisture this morning. The indications are for fair to overcast weather, which may ho followed by a few scattered showers. Winds light and from west to south-west. The Weather Bureau wires: Winds are freshening, westerly, strong to gale at times! Tire weather appears likely to b« unsettled, with rain following. The barometer is falling.
