* The following barometer and thermometer readings,, taken at 9 a.m. daily, and weather indications, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner: Thermometer. Max. Min. Wednesday 71 56 Ihursday 05 60 Barometer. Thursday 30.10 Friday 30.10 Yesterday was lair and overcast, with variable winds. The barometer is steady at 30.10 in. The indications are for fair to overcast weather to-day with unsettled conditions following. Winds from the south-west, veering to a northerly direction. The Weather Bureau wires: The indicalions are for southerly moderate winds and veering by west to north, then freshening. Expect dull weather with much mist and fog in parts. Much rain is to be expected shortly. Barometer falling.
