DROUGHT BROKEN
* RAINS IN NEW SOUTH WALES. STOCK PRICES RISING. (United Press Association.) SYDNEY, Jan. 7. Bounteous rains over wide grazing areas i have enhanced the .prospects of feed, stopped the rush on the stock market which marked the drought period and rushed up the prices of beef On the hoofs which sold to lOd a pound a record. The retail butchers from to-day will advance prices 25 pec sent. Many are cutting out beef as too dear to handle. So far the woi?st of ithe western drought areas have benefited little by the rain.
